Campylobacter

Delivering results for
Campylobacter in under 26 hours

Veriflow® Campylobacter (CA) represents an ultra-sensitive and user-friendly class of diagnostics: DNA Signature Capturing Technology for the detection of Campylobacter. With an enrichment time of only 24 hours, Veriflow® CA can be used for the presumptive and qualitative detection of Campylobacter from chicken carcass rinsates. The test even eliminates the need for a microaerobic incubator, helping to streamline workflow.

The patented vertical-flow technology allows for the sensitivity of real-time PCR tests, but with the ease of use associated with lateral-flow assays. The result is an effective and rapid system that minimizes sample preparation, speeds time to results, improves testing accuracy, and provides easy-to-interpret data for the end user. Veriflow® CA is the next generation in powerful diagnostic tools to help manufacturers and government regulators keep the global food supply safe.

Superior Inclusivity and Exclusivity
  • 100% inclusivity rate
  • 100% exclusivity rate
Affordable and Economical
  • Low cost of capital equipment
  • No maintenance or service contract required
  • Compact thermocycler greatly reduces equipment footprint
  • Ease of use relieves need for highly trained professionals to run the system

Veriflow® Campylobacter is approved for the following matrices:

Chicken Carcass

Enrich

High burden samples can be processed without an enrichment step. For maximum sensitivity, samples require only 24 hours of non-specialized enrichment.

Amplify

Amplify

Post enrichment, samples are heated for 10 minutes to inactivate any live bacteria. No additional heating or purification steps are involved with the Veriflow® test system. The sample is transferred into pre-dispensed PCR tubes. The assay utilizes the power of polymerase chain reaction (PCR) to rapidly amplify unique genetic signatures of Campylobacter, if present.

Pre-programmed thermocyclers enable a one-touch system

Detect

The amplified target is transferred to the sample window of a disposable vertical flow through cassette that develops into a visual signal in only 3 minutes.

Simple and Cost Efficient Deployment at Your Facility

The system is comprised of a small, customized thermocycler, pre-aliquoted PCR reagent tubes, and buffers. The intuitive touch screen interface and 96 sample capacity of the thermocycler accommodates the needs of both low and high volume users.

With Veriflex™ technology, users can even run different tests at the same time maximizing workflow efficiencies.

Post-amplification results are obtained in less than 3 minutes via hand-held disposable cassettes, and results can be tracked, stored, and exported via the Veriflow Reader.

Veriflow is ideally suited for the food and beverage industry-– with a modest capital investment and affordable per-test cost. With single step enrichment and no DNA purification, sample prep is simple, and can be completed by existing staff with minimal training.
