January 5, 2015  •  Press Release

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Invisible Sentinel Inc., a life-sciences company that develops rapid diagnostics for the food and beverage industries, announced today that its first-in-class Veriflow® diagnostic technology has been adopted for use by Silliker, an international provider of food-safety and food-quality services.

Invisible Sentinel has developed, validated, and delivered a custom assay to Silliker for use in its laboratories worldwide. The decision by Silliker to adopt Veriflow® follows its own validation studies of the assay. The assay, which has not been publicly disclosed, was created through Invisible Sentinel’s Custom Solutions Program, which adapts Veriflow® technology to individual client needs.

Nick Siciliano, Chief Executive Officer and co-founder of Invisible Sentinel, commented: “In addition to broadening our standard product line of diagnostics, we are innovating to address needs specified by individual clients. We are delighted to provide a testing-industry leader such as Silliker with a custom solution.

“Our Custom Solutions program has led to the creation of assays for multiple industries including winemaking, brewing, and food-spoilage organisms. The speed and quality with which we are able to develop, validate, and commercialize assays for new applications is unparalleled and is a testament to the versatility of the Veriflow® platform as well as the dedication and talent of our R&D and Operations team. We are now exploring opportunities to commercialize diagnostics for other industries such as environmental pathogens, veterinary services, and healthcare.”
